AEK Larnaca was founded on 18/7/1994 after a decision of the General Assemblies of the two historical Associations of Larnaca, Pezoporikou and EPA. The football team of the Association in just two years of life managed to finish 4th in the Pancyprian football championship and to be a finalist in the Cyprus Cup Final.

The colors of AEK are green and yellow, and its emblem represents General Kimonas, who died fighting on the shores of Larnaca, who “is a dead man”.
